SimGuruDrake has strongly suggested there will be an official Sims content announcement this week. The producer did not specify whether it’s an update, stuff pack, or some other DLC, but the announcement reveal comes via Twitter. Drake responded with a winky face to a player asking whether we can expect some news on Thursday Dec. 1:

The last quarterly teaser revealed there will be a new stuff pack this winter. The only hint on the theme was an icon with a picture of a tuxedo. However, the stuff pack will come after a Holiday Celebration Pack, which could release in the form of a free patch in December. There’s a strong chance The Sims 4 announcement will be related to the future content teaser released earlier this fall, not brand new content.

In October, there was also speculation of a Pets and Seasons DLC on the horizon. The rumor mill went wild after a reddit post from a Sims developer hinted that those two staple Sims packs could be in the works. Lord knows Seasons and Pets would please the fans. However, there’s nothing about the quarterly teaser that screams pets or seasons, so if The Sims is developing those packs, it will probably be a long while before they release.

The latest Sims expansion pack is City Living, which released Nov. 1. Read our review here.
