Careers are a large part of The Sims 4, but it takes patience to reach the top. Committing to a job for five days a week could get in the way of exploring the neighborhood. You may not be able to attend that crazy party at Planet Honey Pop in San Myshuno at 2 a.m. You’ll also spend most of your time trying to max out your skills the old-fashioned way and complete at-home assignments. Some of us don’t have time for all that and there’s some cheats to make careers a lot easier in The Sims 4.
How To Use Sims 4 Cheats
To use pretty much any cheat in The Sims 4 , make sure testing cheats is enabled. To do so, press control+shift+c (command on a mac). In the text field, type testingcheats true and you’re all set to enter whatever cheat you need. (control+shift+c again to close the text window after you enter the code). I’d go ahead and add bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement to unlock locked Career Objects in Build Mode while you’re at it. This unlocks every single career award, regardless of your chosen path.
Once you are hired in the career path you want (by choosing an entry level position on the phone or computer), you’re all set to use the cheat. The cheat gives you a promotion. So if you want to climb the ladder all the way, keep pasting the code into the command box. At some point, you may need to stop and choose a specific branch within the career, so keep an eye out for a specific notification. If you wish to demote your Sim from their current position, simply replace the world ‘promote’ with ‘demote.’ It’s the same concept as promotion, you’ll have to keep entering your cheat if you want to go down multiple levels.
