If you’re excited about Session: Skate Sim, the good news is that digital preorder is now available. The game is launching on September 22 on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The game is still available on Steam Early Access, with 85% positive rating; it’s also on Xbox Game Preview. By the way, those who pre-order the game get the Brandalised Pack, which comes with Outfits x8 and Boards x8.

Session: Skate Sim is a game designed by skateboarders for skateboarders. It celebrates the golden age of skateboarding of the 1990s. No matter what time of day, players get to play as one of the 16 playable characters. They also get to explore a lot of iconic skateboarding locations.

Unlike other similar games, this one has players prove that they have successfully pulled off a trick, which means they need to have it captured on video. That’s why the game comes with a full-featured video editor where players can immortalize their greatest achievements.

So in Session: Skate Sim, skateboarding is pretty much as demanding as it is in real life. As a result of the innovative gameplay, players immediately get to feel authentic sensations once they pick up the controller. For example, for the first time in a game about skateboarding, the dual-stick controls have each stick represent a foot. Players now need to think about how they’re going to pull off each move and transfer their weight like how it’s done on a real skateboard.

Meanwhile, physics has been developed to add realism, fluidity, and immersion. Like in real life, it’s going to need a few hours of practice to learn the techniques. It may even need more time to get the confidence to pull off that first real kickflip.

The game also offers players a system where they can completely customize each skateboarder and deck. In addition, there are in-game challenges that when completed allow players to earn money, which can be used in skateboard shops. There are hundreds of items offered in the shops, including hoodies, shoes, helmets, T-shirts, and trousers. There are also items from big brands like Fallen, Zero, GrindKing, Thankyou, HIJINX Net, Antilanta, Roger Skate CO, No-Comply, and iDabble.

Players can customize skateboard decks with 250 items, such as wheels and grip tape. There are even customization options that have an effect on how players roll.
