Ready to have some fun? SNK

Samurai Shodown (2019) had already announced that Cham Cham is more than ready to join the fight. However, the game didn’t really reveal the exact date when she was arriving as the first DLC character for Season Pass 3. It turns out that Cham Cham is bringing her antics to the game on March 16.

Cham Cham Who?

So who exactly is Cham Cham? Well, she first appeared in Samurai Shodown 2 back in 1994. She has since then become a favorite of many players.

In the lore, she lived in a forest in South America known as Green Hell and the younger sister of a powerful warrior. Along with her friend, the monkey Paku Paku, she had a tendency to go out of the village to explore. This has led her to dangerous situations more than once. But she has left the village to look for her big brother. Given her bold and reckless nature, opponents are sure to find her moves rather hard to read.

Cham Cham is available for $5.99. Players though can buy the whole Season Pass 3, which comes with four characters for $19.99.

New Update

Cham Cham arrives in the game with some balance changes as well as improvements. Making the update something players can look forward to is the Guard Crush mechanic.

Guilty Gear Collab

Samurai Shodown also revealed that it’s launching a collaboration with the Guilty Gear series. In particular, a character from Guilty Gear is joining the fight as the fourth entry of Season Pass 3. That means Season Pass 3 is releasing Cham Cham, Hibiki Takane, a yet to be revealed character, and a Guilty Gear character.

For those not familiar, Guilty Gear is a 2D fighting game released in 1998. Its unique and interesting characters coupled with stylish action elements made it a hit to many.

Samurai Shodown (2019) is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A version for Xbox Series X/S is scheduled to be released on March 16. Learn more about the game here.
