The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be announced Feb. 21, but there have been few details about when the device will release to market, until now. Known leakster Shai Mizrachi claims the 2016 flagship device will be available in Europe starting March 11.

While the details cannot be confirmed, they do back up several reports indicating a March launch for the Galaxy S7. Chinese carrier China Mobile shared in late Decembe r, documents indicating a March time frame for the Galaxy S7 launch. The Wall Street Journal has also reported about a mid-March launch for the device.

Devices in Samsung’s Galaxy S line have typically hit markets in April. The Galaxy S6 became available globally on April 11 last year, while the Galaxy S5 hit stores globally April 10. However, Samsung has been aiming for more timely releases with later devices. The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ hit markets a week after their Aug. 13 unveiling . With any luck the Galaxy S7 will similarly be available for preorder on the same day it's announced.

There have been no reports on when the Galaxy S7 would release in the U.S.; however, a similar March release is likely. Often U.S. carriers have their own launch dates independent from a global launch date.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip or Samsung Exynos 8890 chip, depending on the model, 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options with expandable memory support, a 12.3-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow under Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. The device may also have a fingerprint scanner, and iris scanner and a ForceTouch component as its special features.

At this time, no claims about the Samsung Galaxy S7 have been confirmed.
