The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has long been rumored to feature a USB Type-C port, and a recent leak reveals a USB Type-C cable will accompany the smartphone. Vietnamese publication Tinhte shared a video of the Samsung branded USB Type-C cable on its YouTube channel Sunday. While there was no smartphone accompanied with the cable, anyone familiar with Samsung components would identify the cable as a product from the manufacturer.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 set to launch Aug. 2 , there have been many details leaked about the device in recent days and weeks. Another recent leak from the mobile retailer Mobile Fun shows a render of the Galaxy Note 7 with a USB Type-C port. iDigitalTimes also predicted in March that the Galaxy Note 7 would feature a USB Type-C port, since the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S tablet introduced the component to Samsung’s product line.

USB Type-C ports are known for their cylindrical shape, which can accept a cable from any direction. In comparison, standard Micro USB cables must be inserted into a device in a certain way. USB Type-C are also known to charge devices and transfer data faster than Micro USB ports.

Several smartphones have introduced USB Type-C ports in the last year, including Google’s Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X, the HTC 10 and the LG G5. However, Samsung’s previous Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone featured Micro USB ports. In February, Techradar reported the smartphones did not feature USB Type-C because Samsung was committed to having its Gear VR headset be compatible with Micro USB ports. However, new reports claim updated Gear VR headsets may accompany the Galaxy Note 7 at launch, which could put USB Type-C back on the table for the 2016 flagship.

Outside of a new charging port, other standout features expected on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 include an iris scanner, 6GB of RAM, expandable storage and water resistance.
