Roller Champions is all set to start the competition when it launches on May 25. The game is going to be available on PC through the Ubisoft Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. At launch, the game already comes with cross-play and cross-progression. That means players can team up with friends and match up against opponents regardless of the platform. By the way, have we mentioned that the game is free-to-play?

In addition to the platforms mentioned, Roller Champions is also launching soon on Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and Amazon Luna. It’s also planned to be available on the Epic Games Store at a later date.

For each match, players form a team with two others. Then, they go against another team of three and fight in an elliptical arena. The goal is simple, a team must reach five points before the other one.

The gameplay is just as simple too. Players can control the ball by skating and passing. They can also steal it from an opponent through a tackle. Once a player with the ball makes a full lap of the arena, the goal is opened and the team with the ball needs to take the shot.

One important thing for players to remember is that once they know the basics, they can level up their game by going to the skatepark to practice and socialize. Players can then use skills learned during a match to come up with team maneuvers and even do multiple laps to have higher points for each goal. Overall, the game is all about teamwork, dedication, and daring.

Like any sports story, you start small and work your way up to the bigger stadium and tougher opponents. The goal is to reach the Elite Champions’ League.

As players progress, they gain fans and level up. When that happens, they unlock a wide range of stylish customization items. Players can also progress through the free Roller Pass. In this one, they earn various gear for their skaters, such as helmets, gloves, outfits, and skates. There are also poses, goal FX, emotes, and other cosmetic items. Those who want more exclusive gear can buy the premium Roller Pass.
