Resident Evil Village follows Ethan Winters, the protagonist of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. For those who can remember, RE7 ended with Ethan and Mia being extracted by a helicopter. In RE: Village, the story is set three years after the previous game, and see Ethan now married to Mia with their daughter Rosemary. One day, Chris Redfield suddenly arrives and kidnaps him and his daughter, bringing them to a mysterious European village. In a quest to rescue his daughter, Ethan meets a lot of interesting characters like Lady Alcina Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg.

Features

As part of the RE franchise, Village offers what can be described as an intense story campaign and rather robust gameplay. It also brings back The Mercenaries game mode but only accessible after finishing the main campaign. The mode for RE: Village has some new features like additional challenges for players.

In terms of the technical aspect, the game includes the latest console technology combined with the patented RE Engine of Capcom. This is the same mix responsible for several titles, such as select RE games and Devil May Cry 5.

RE: Village is available in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions. The Collector's Edition includes the base game and these:

  • Trauma Pack DLC
  • Chris Redfield Figure
  • 64-Page Hardcover Art Book
