Rainbow Six Siege's APAC South Major just concluded its semifinals and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The APAC South Major had some really amazing matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of three format. The most surprising matchup that happened this week was between Union Gaming and Kira Esports. All the matches played were super one-sided for the higher seeds in both brackets.

The best matchup for the semifinals was between Union Gaming and Kira Esports. The first map was played on Clubhouse, which is a strategy-heavy map. The score went 7-3 in the favor of Union Gaming, with Arvinth "Jittery" Narayanan carrying his team with 12 kills playing frag operators such as Zofia and Jager. UG managed to outsmart Kira on Clubhouse, making some smart decisions such as playing Kapkan for the church defense and luring the enemies into Kapkan's traps. The second map, Kafe Dostoyevsky, was another match Union was able to finish with ease. While Union Gaming didn’t show any new strats for this match, they proved their dominance over Kira with a 7-3 score.

The final match between MrcZ and MonkaS was also a very dominating match from the side of MrcZ. The first map was played on Villa, which went 7-3 in favor of MrcZ. MrcZ was able to outfrag their opponents while using default ranked strats. The second map was played on Theme Park, which is a relatively new map for APAC South players. But, MrcZ showed their dominance with a 7-0 score against MonkaS.

Both Union Gaming and MrcZ will meet in the finals for a spot in the Six Major. For more coverage on the APAC South Major, you can watch all the streams on Twitch or YouTube.
