Rainbow Six Siege released new teasers of its upcoming Red Crow DLC, featuring a new Operator named “Hibana” of Japan’s Special Assault Team (S.A.T.). Ubisofts latest tease follows its “Skyscraper” map announcement teaser. We expect Ubisoft to roll out more info about S.A.T.’s defender over the next couple of days, but check out the latest teaser of attacker Hibana in the video below:

Yumiko Imagawa, a.k.a “Hibana,” is a Nagoya native who joined the National Police Academy when she was 18 years old. Hibana’s explosive background and leadership skills lead to the nickname, Hibana, which means “Spark” in Japanese.

Hibana will be one of two Special Assault Team (S.A.T.) members joining the Red Crow update lineup and while we’re not quite sure what her special ability will be, we do know S.A.T. members are badass in close combat. Along with her impeccable skills, Ubisoft has confirmed Hibana will be well-equipped with a set of primary weapons such as the “SuperNova” and “Type-89” and in addition the “PM9” and “P229” as her secondary weapons.

Rainbow Six Siege Scriptwriter Farah Daoud-Brixi shared some interesting details about Hibana, including the S.A.T.’s close relationships with international counter-terrorist units:

The first female Attacker Post-Launch, we wished to create an Operator that would create fresh tactical opportunities. The versatility she offers on the field will allow for more diverse team compositions. It was this unique aspect that we found interesting both in terms of game mechanics and characterization.

Stay tuned to learn more about the Red Crow update in the days ahead. Expect new details regarding Red Crow operators to be announced during the PC & Xbox One Pro League Finals on Nov. 12-13, which will be livestreamed on the Rainbow Six Twitch channel.
