Rainbow Six Siege North American League has just concluded its seventh playday of Stage 3. This is an important league as the top four teams will qualify for the Six Sweden Major 2021

Team SoloMid vs. Soniqs

The first match was played on Clubhouse, which is a defender-sided map. TSM started on defense and had a terrible first round. TSM opted to use the SSG roam strategy on the Church site. This strategy is pretty old, and by this time, almost every team has learned to play around with it. Soniqs played the first round very slowly and cleared it perfectly. This allowed them to take the round. The second round was fun to watch as Evan "kanzen" Bushore from Soniqs just walked into the CCTV site through the breach and got four kills.

But Soniqs' luck began after that when TSM started winning rounds. The sixth round was the most exciting as TSM showed how to play the Bar site. The Bar site is incredibly hard to defend and almost no teams play it due to a high risk of loss. However, TSM was able to win the site by playing plant denial operators like Echo and Goyo. With both teams performing well, the first half ended in a 3-3 scoreline.

After the side switch, TSM started to dominate Soniqs on the attack. TSM’s strategy mainly revolved around getting the defuser down. After the defuser went down, the players holding flanks could easily get kills to win rounds. TSM won the match with a 7-4 scoreline.

XSET vs. Oxygen Esports

This match was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Oxygen started on the attack and just destroyed XSET. With more power, Oxygen didn’t need to show anything as they already qualified for the Six Sweden Major. Oxygen simply entered the site and got kills without really clearing the objective or even breaching walls sometimes. The only round XSET was able to win was the fifth round and that was because of Xavier "Filthy" Garcia's triple kill from Supply Closet. Oxygen took the first half with a 5-1 scoreline.

After the side switch, XSET tried to play a utility-heavy composition using Ying. However, they were countered hard by Oxygen as they had operators like Smoke and Ela to stop the composition. Oxygen won the game with a 7-1 scoreline. XSET’s loss will send them to relegation where they have to fight with other challenger league teams for a spot in the North American League.

Spacestation Gaming, Oxygen Esports, Soniqs, and Team SoloMid are the four North American teams who have qualified for the Six Sweden Major 2021.
