Rainbow Six Siege's LATAM League 2020 just concluded its final playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The LATAM League had some really exciting match-ups to watch this playday, with the finals being played in a best-of five format. NiP also had a map advantage.

The final match for LATAM was between NiP and FaZe. The first match was played on Coastline, which is the most frag-heavy map in Siege. Both teams are very well versed with this map and can frag really well, but NiP has been on a winning streak since the previous Raleigh major, where they lost in the finals to Spacestation Gaming. The first map went 7-5 in the favor of NiP, with Murilo “Muzi” Moscatelli scoring 14 kills in the first map alone.

The second map was played out on Oregon, which is a strategy-heavy map. The score went 7-4 in the favor of NiP, with NiP just dropping one round on their defense. Muzi once again dominated on this map as well, carrying his team with 13 kills this time around. NiP was able to take the series with ease as they had a map advantage, so they only had to win the first two maps. It was unfortunate we weren’t able to see more from FaZe.

NiP only dropped one map this entire LATAM major, against Team Liquid. This major proved NiP’s dominance and how much they have improved as a team. It would have been more interesting if FaZe were able to reverse sweep the game to play all five maps.
