Rainbow Six Siege's European Mini Major just concluded its semifinals and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The European Mini Major had some really amazing matches to watch this playday, with all the matches played as a best of three format. The most exciting matchup that happened this playday was between Team BDS and Virtus.Pro.

The upper bracket match between G2 Esports and Virtus.Pro was pretty close in terms of score. The first map was played on Villa, which is a very strategy-heavy map. That said, it was surprising to see the score going 7-4 in favor of G2. The second map, Kafe Dostoyevsky, was a bit tougher. G2 was able to win most of their defenses, which did make things a little easier for them. The second map went 7-5 in favor of G2 and guaranteed them a spot in the finals.

The lower bracket match was between Team BDS and Virtus.Pro. The first map was played on Consulate, which is a strategy-heavy map. The score went 7-4 in the favor of BDS, with Olivier "Renshiro" Vandroux carrying his team with 14 kills playing frag operators such as Zofia and Mute. BDS managed to outsmart VP on Consulate, making some smart decisions such as playing Twitch to counter VP’s Mira setup. The second map, Oregon, was another match BDS was able to take with ease. BDS played Oregon really well and won the match 7-4, which guaranteed their spot in the finals.

Both G2 and BDS will meet in the finals for a spot in the Six Major. For more coverage on the European Mini Major, you can watch all the streams on Twitch or YouTube.
