ZeniMax’s biggest gaming event of the year is crossing over the pond for the first time ever.

QuakeCon, the biggest LAN party of the year, will see its debut in Europe for the first time in its 22 years. Dubbed QuakeCon Europe, the event will be held in London from July 26 to July 27, and will feature a veritable panel of games comparable to the usual QuakeCon – which will be held simultaneously in Dallas, Texas.

The headline event for this year is of course, the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration of the Doom franchise, which was debuted by one of ZeniMax’s most popular and reputable studios, id Software. And what’s a celebration without a new game to supplement it? In the case of this year’s QuakeCon, which is being dubbed the “Year of Doom”, Bethesda and id will officially debut the first playable version of Doom Eternal, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2016 Doom reboot.

Of course, since the event is touted as the biggest LAN party in gaming, there will be more games to show off, both existing and upcoming. Among the upcoming titles are: Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot and Rage 2 (although it would have been released by the time of QuakeCon). ZeniMax will also provide updates on some of their existing titles, most of them handled by Bethesda: The Elder Scrolls Legends, The Elder Scrolls: Blades, The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsewyr and Fallout 76.

Let’s not forget the namesake for the event, of course. Quake Champions will also be play a part in the celebrations, and just like every year, a competition will be held for the top Quake players around the world.

If you’re interested in going to the London QuakeCon event, here’s some more good news for you: it’s absolutely free. However, you still need to register for tickets, which you can do by heading over to the official QuakeCon Europe site. Tickets aren’t available as of now, but you can sign up for updates once they are made available.

QuakeCon Dallas is free as well, although the special BYOC (bring your own computer) tickets are all sold out. You can check out the details for those here.

QuakeCon Dallas will be held from July 25 to July 28, in the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. QuakeCon Europe will be held from July 26 to July 27, in the Printworks venue in south-east London.

Doom Eternal is scheduled for release sometime this year for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.
