Puzzle & Dragons Now on Nintendo Switch

Puzzle & Dragons is now available on Nintendo Switch. The game was first released on the mobile platform back in 2012. This version has been redesigned for Switch and can be enjoyed solo or with friends. There are many to look forward to like different game modes, a custom dungeon maker, achievements, and avatars.

The game is now available on the Nintendo eShop priced at $4.37. On this platform, players can start their quest by using either TV mode, tabletop mode, or handheld mode.

Here are some of the features of the game:

  • Game Modes
    • Quest Mode has players journey across 16 dungeons that span 75 floors. Players can take on this solo or work with others in couch co-op to form a party for their adventure.
    • PvP Mode has players go against as many as seven players and fight for the highest score in three match types:
      • World Match: Compete against random opponents from around the world.
      • Friend Match: Challenge friends in an online lobby.
      • Computer Match: Hone your skills by practicing against NPCs offline.
    • Custom Mode allows players to build their own custom dungeons and play or share them with others.
  • Achievements and Avatars
    • Enjoy an enriching game experience full of achievement goals with big rewards.
    • Play lots of games to earn chances to collect avatars by pulling them from one of four Egg Machines:
      • Standard Egg Machine
      • Heroine Egg Machine
      • Godfest Egg Machine
      • Dragons & Dragonbound Egg Machine

There are also additional avatars that can be collected from three Egg Machines available as DLC on the Nintendo eShop. Each of these avatars has a bonus item that’s either:

  • A new Team
  • Awakening Badge
  • Additional Song
  • Cosmetic Skin

By the way, players need to have a Nintendo Switch Online to play online multiplayer and custom dungeon sharing/downloading.

Puzzle & Dragons offer two types of gameplay which are tile-matching and monster-collecting RPG. Players can create teams for a roster of more than 7,000 monsters that can be acquired within the game.
