It looks like there’s no stopping the upcoming PUBG: New State. The game is set to have its alpha test for Android users in the US from June 11 to June 13. Applications are already open and will accept players until June 6.

This test is going to focus on measuring the server and network stability, performance, and even in-development gameplay systems. The idea is any feedback received during this test ensures to meet the expectations of players.

For the alpha test, players can expect to be dropped into the futuristic 8x8 map known as TROI. Here, everyone will experience many of the unique gameplay features.

In a press statement, PUBG: New State Executive Producer Minkyu Park shared that they are more than committed to being able to make full use of the feedback received during the test. Overall, he added that the goal is to offer an experience that players around the world can enjoy.

Pre-Registrations

Back in April, it was reported that pre-registration for the game on Google Play Store had reached the 10 million mark. Even before that, it already had other milestones like in just two days of going live, pre-registrations reached 2 million. Within a week, that number rose to 5 million. Those who pre-register will get a permanent Limited Vehicle Skin.

Unfortunately, iOS players have to wait a little longer since pre-registration has not yet started.

Game Features

The mechanics in PUBG: New State is pretty much like the PC version where 100 players are dropped into a map and fight to be the last one standing. Features include:

  • Ultra-realistic graphics that exceed the limits of mobile gaming.
    • The game makes use of what’s known as “global illumination” technology to offer graphics better than ever. This should let players experience an open world with a high level of realism.
  • More realistic and dynamic gunplay.
    • The gunplay that PUBG is known for is included but fully optimized for mobile gaming. There’s also a new weapon attachment system for customizing weapons.
  • Next-generation action-based interactive gameplay.
    • Players get to experience some interesting mechanics like support request and dodging. They can even have drone calls.
  • An expansion of the original PUBG universe.
    • The game is set in 2051, which is decades after the original PUBG game.
