They say that you should never meet your heroes. That’s sound advice but you may have no choice as The Boys are making their presence felt in PUBG Mobile . Their appearance is part of the collaboration with Prime Video, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and Sony Pictures Television. The collaboration content is available from June 3 to July 3 in North America, South America, and Europe.

The Boys is a superhero television series streaming on Amazon Prime Video and is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The story focuses on a team of vigilantes who fight superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities. Season 1 of the show was released in July 2019 while Season 2 came out last September 2020. Season 3 is scheduled to begin on June 3.

Collab Items

When the new season of The Boys starts this Friday, players immediately have the chance to get their hands on some exclusive collaboration items, like the super suits of Homelander, Starlight, and Soldier Boy. There are also weapon skins, backpacks, a unique Supes parachute, and more.

Supe Spree Event

Starting June 8, players are invited to join the “Supe Spree” event. Like the show, they join Billy Butcher to come up with their own investigation squad and investigate if superheroes have been “naughty.”

In this event, a series of unsolvable murders have been happening across New York City, characterized by mutilated bodies of the Wall Street brokers and their clients. With the police having no clue about what’s happening, the city officials are demanding answers.

To complete each challenge, players need to work with characters from The Boys or with their in-game friends to discover the truth. Players have to collect evidence, unlock stories, and reveal who’s the superhero behind the attacks and in turn, earn Billy Butcher’s Duds.

There are also weekly challenges where players get the chance to earn additional perks and rewards.

In a statement, PUBG Mobile Senior Director of Marketing Anthony Crouts shared that The Boys was a groundbreaking show that changed the entertainment industry, especially with its irreverent take on superheroes. He added that they have always worked to deliver fresh new content to the game and this new collaboration is another chance to do just that.

In PUBG Mobile, a maximum of 100 players parachute to a remote island and fight in a winner-takes-all showdown. PUBG Mobile is available on Android and iOS.
