Private Division Partners with Game Freak for "Project Bloom"

A new title in the works. Private Division

Private Division has entered a partnership with Game Freak for a new action-adventure game currently codenamed as "Project Bloom." No other details have been revealed except for a concept art and a possible launch in 2026.

Game Freak is the studio responsible for Pokémon and was the one who developed the original Pokémon game series, one of the most successful worldwide. In addition to video games, the series has been adapted into other media like movies, anime, card games, and of course, merchandise. Recently, the studio has been working on new titles aside from the Pokémon series.

In a statement, Game Freak Director Kota Furushima revealed that they're excited to develop a new game that's far different from their previous titles. He added that they've wanted to work with Private Division for this new title. Furushima went on to say that the track record of Private Division, along with their expertise, gave them the needed confidence to come up with a new action-adventure game.

Head of Private Division Michael Worosz shared that they're more than ready to help Game Freak reach their potential and are honored to be the first publisher in the west to work with the studio.

Private Division is a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, a developer-focused publisher which partners with some of the best creative talent in the video game industry. The company empowers studios to develop video games that they are passionate about, and also give them the needed support to make sure that their titles are commercially successful and critically received worldwide.

Titles published by Private Division include the Kerbal Space Program franchise, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey from Panache Digital Games, The Outer Worlds from Obsidian Entertainment, OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome from Roll7, and After Us from Piccolo Studio. Besides Game Freak, the company has a number of projects in development with Moon Studios, Evening Star, Yellow Brick Games, and Wētā Workshop.

Take-Two Interactive Software develops and publishes games not only through Private Division but also Rockstar Games, 2K, and Zynga.
