Pokken Tournament releases worldwide for the Nintendo Wii U on March 18 and the Tekken/Pokemon mash-up looks to bring a new style of fighter to the video game landscape.

In anticipation of the Pokken Tournament release, Nintendo UK’s YouTube channel uploaded a compilation of some of the great combos you can perform in the new fighting game. There are some impressive combos that utilize the Support Pokemon, walls and other shenanigans.

Take a look at the Pokken Tournament combos video below.

We had some time with Pokken Tournament recently and while the combos and battling were rather simple, we did find the game capable of some killer combos. There’s also a great Training Mode that lets you practice these combos while also informing players how much damage is being done.

From the Pokken Tournament combo video, you can see that the walls of the battlefield can be used to your advantage. Not only can you launch your opponent to the wall, you can even string combos together once they get stuck.

Our preliminary personal favorite Pokemon in Pokken Tournament, Gengar, gets some major love in the combo video as the ghost ‘mon uses its powers to juggle the opposing Pokemon in the air and punish them with some sick aerial moves.

One of the best things about Pokken Tournament is how different each fighter feels, and the combos video shows that. You have combos being strung together by Blaziken with different strikes, using projectiles as Lucario and Gardevoir do and even throws being mixed in, as we saw Machamp and Sceptile use.

Pokken Tournament will release for the Wii U on March 18.
