New footage of Pokémon Sun and Moon was shown off at Gamescom 2016 in Germany with GameFreak’s Shigeki Morimoto, revealing a brand new Pokémon named Tortunator.

Tortunator is a Fire- and Dragon-type Pokémon with the ability Shell Armor. Shell Armor protects this Pokémon from critical hits.

It also has a brand new move, Shell Trap, which looks to set up a barrier that hits the opposing Pokémon whenever it is hit.

According to the official Pokémon website, Shell Trap's effect is "With this move, the Pokémon can set a trap at the beginning of the turn, and if Turtonator is hit by an opponent’s physical attack during that turn, Shell Trap triggers an explosion that will deal much greater damage to the opponent."

In the meantime, check out the reveal trailer for Tortunator in Sun and Moon below.

Also, a brand new Z-Move was shown during a live Battle Royale demonstration. The Normal-type Z-Move, Hyper Springtangriff in German was used by Pikachu. This confirms Pokémon can be equipped with Z-crystals outside of their designated typings.

We will update the story with more information as we get it.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will release Nov. 18 in Japan and North America and Nov. 23 in Europe.
