One of the ways Game Freak is trying to bring the Pokémon community together in Pokémon Sun and Moon is by implementing global missions for trainers from all over the world to complete a common goal.

The first Global Mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon has gone live and trainers will have to collectively catch 100 million Pokémon.

Sun and Moon ’s first Global Mission will run until Dec. 12 and 2000 festival coins will be given out to all participating players if the goal is met. If the mission is a failure, then 100 festival coins will be distributed, but we’d put money on the odds that the goal will be met.

To access and participate in the first Pokémon Sun and Moon Global Mission, trainers will have to go to the Festival Plaza and speak to the woman at the desk next to the PC on the right. Trainers will have to register their games to the Global Link website to participate. To link your game, you can check out our Global Link guide.

Once you’ve linked your game, you can participate in the Global Mission and every time you Game Sync your progress will be uploaded.

Festival Coins are a great resource to get awesome items in the Festival Plaza so get out there and start catching!

The Pokémon Company will be launching these Global Missions often so keep checking back for more information when more go live.
