"Pokémon Legends: Z-A" once again surprised the trainers by allowing them to unlock Mewtwo, along with both of its iconic Mega Evolutions.
Nintendo has now launched a brand-new Mystery Gift distribution featuring the Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, which gives players access not only to the power of Mega Evolution but also to an entirely new side mission designed solely for post-game players.
Mewtwo Arrives in 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A'
Mewtwo's arrival is one of the largest updates thus far to "Pokémon Legends: Z-A." While the main storyline already takes you on an extensive journey, this newest mission brings a new level of both challenge and thrill for committed trainers.
The two different Mega Stones, Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, unlock the ability for Mega Evolution and grant access to a special quest that can only be unlocked after the end of the main storyline.
This one-time Mystery Gift release will enable every trainer to use Mewtwo's incredible powers while discovering new facets of the region.
How to Claim Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y
Before undertaking the additional quest, players must first obtain their Mega Stones via the Mystery Gift system. Luckily, the process is fast and easy. Proceed as follows:
- Open the main menu, then select Link Play.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Click on Get via Internet; this will download your Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y.
- Save your current game so the items remain stored safely.
With the Mega Stones in your possession, you are now ready to take on the exclusive Legendary mission.
Where to Go After Claiming Your Mega Stones
With Mewtwonite X and Y in hand, head to the Lysandre Café. This is where you'll start the Mewtwo task. From there, Trainers who've completed the main story can progress all the way through into Lysandre Labs, discovering secret rooms and a battle with the Legendary Pokémon.
This quest not only challenges you but also rewards you with one of the strongest Pokémon in the franchise. Upon completion of the quest, Mewtwo will join your team, able to Mega Evolve into either X or Y form depending on the stone you use.
The "Mega Dimension" DLC is coming in less than a week. Recently, The Pokémon Company welcomed the newest Mega Evolution form in existence: Mega Lucario Z.
