"Pokémon Legends: Z-A" 2.0.1 update delivers major in-game improvements for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 players.
From enhanced item management to critical Mega Dimension DLC bug fixes, the latest patch streamlines gameplay for casual trainers and competitive players alike. Here's what the latest patch notes look like.
Bulk Berry Purchases Make Stockpiling Easier

According to Nintendo Everything, trainers can now buy multiple Berries at once from food stalls, eliminating the hassle of repeated trips.
After unlocking the "Mega Dimension" DLC, Berries can also be purchased at Nouveau Café's Truck No. 3, providing convenient access for battle preparation.
Mega Shard Capacity Jump
One of the standout upgrades in 2.0.1 is the Mega Shard capacity increase. Players can now hold up to 9,999 Mega Shards, up from the previous 999 limit. This expansion gives collectors and competitive trainers unprecedented flexibility when powering up their Pokémon.
'Mega Dimension' DLC Bug Fixes
The update resolves several gameplay issues in the "Mega Dimension" DLC:
- Pokémon no longer misalign during moves in certain hyperspace pockets.
- Weather conditions now change as intended during missions.
- Shiny Pokémon acquired post-DLC release are properly registered in the Mega Evolution Pokédex if their Mega Stones were obtained.
- Visual inconsistencies during story missions have been corrected to ensure images match in-game scenes.
Side Mission and Progression Updates
Players struggling with side mission 188, "Start Special Scanning!" can now progress smoothly. Entering and exiting hyperspace correctly applies earned survey points, allowing uninterrupted mission completion.
Online Features Require Update
To access all online features, players must download version 2.0.1. Local communication with older game versions is no longer supported, making this update essential for multiplayer interactions.
As for Switch gamers on Reddit, the update should be enough to fix other bugs, including the Mega Dimension pathing. One Redditor said that the game should add more boxes.
Some Pokémon players are not aware of the weather bug, while others badly want an increase of 1,000 berries.
"Make the lock-on button (the ZL button) a toggle instead of having to hold it in battle. It's annoying," another fan commented.
