Pokémon GO: Test Your Mettle Event Starts This Friday

Attention Pokémon GO trainers! Something is happening in Ultra Wormholes across the world. The Ultra Beast Celesteela has been seen south of the equator, and Ultra Beast Kartana spotted north. The two are appearing in the Test Your Mettle event starting September 16.

In particular, two Pokémon will be debuting in:

  • Launch Pokémon Celesteela
    • September 16 to September 27
    • Five-star raids in the Southern Hemisphere
  • Drawn Sword Pokémon Kartana
    • September 16 to September 27
    • Five-star raids in the Northern Hemisphere

That's not all! Other Pokémon are making their debut, specifically Mega Aggron in Mega Raids and Togedemaru in the wild.

Speaking of Pokémon appearing in the wild, there are also these:

  • Magnemite
  • Pineco
  • Nosepass
  • Aron
  • Beldum
  • Bronzor
  • Drilbur
  • Ferroseed
  • Togedemaru

Trainers who are lucky enough may encounter Prinplup or Galarian Stunfisk.

Do Some Research

Trainers able to complete Field Research tasks have the chance to encounter these Pokémon:

  • Ferroseed
  • Togedemaru

Those lucky enough could encounter Beldum. By the way, there are also certain Field Research tasks that when completed let trainers earn Mega Energy for Steelix and Scizor.

There will also be Timed Research focused on trainers catching Steel-type Pokémon throughout the event. Finishing the research allows trainers to earn Aggron Mega Energy and encounters with Togedemaru and Aron.

Event Bonuses

Of course, it won't be a Pokémon GO event without these bonuses:

  • Increased chance to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.
  • Increased Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.

September Community Day

There's been a lot happening in Pokémon GO this September. The Psychic Spectacular Event just ended yesterday, but there's still Community Day to look forward to and enjoy. It features Roggenrola, which is set to appear more frequently in the wild. The September Community Day is on September 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.
