It was six years ago when trainers around the world were invited to go outside and catch them all in Pokémon GO. A lot has happened since then and the game was even able to make adjustments during the pandemic.

For those who want to enjoy the celebration in person, there is the Pokémon GO Fest: Seattle happening from July 22 to July 24. A few weeks later and it's the Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo, which is from August 5 to August 7.

Anniversary Event

For those who won't be able to join the events mentioned, there's the Anniversary Event from July 6 to July 12.

During this celebration week, trainers can look forward to the official debut of Party Hat Charmeleon, Party Hat Charizard, and Cake Costume Pikachu in the game. Those able to catch Party Hat Charmanders can now evolve this Pokémon.

  • The High Temp Pokémon Pansear appears in the wild and in raids around the world.
  • Unown E appears in Raid Battles.
  • Complete the research tasks to encounter Wash Rotom.

Battle Weekend

The Battle Weekend starts July 9 and ends July 10. During this event, the bonuses are:

  • Enjoy up to 20 GO Battle League sets each day.
  • Use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

There are also these Ultra Unlock: Battle Weekend event bonuses:

  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear every two hours.
  • Earn 5× Stardust from GO Battle League Rewards.
  • Enjoy 1 extra Raid Pass per day.
  • Earn 50% extra XP from Raid Battles.
  • Earn 2 Mysterious Components from defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts.
  • Earn 50% extra Stardust from defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts.
  • Encounter Legendary Pokémon in GO Battle League reward encounters at Rank 16 and up.
