Pokémon GO Features Sinnoh Region in Latest Countdown to Kanto Event Next Week

The next Pokémon GO global event is about a month away. It will take back Trainers to where everything started, which is the Kanto region. But even before that big event happened, the game provided a tour for players. First, it was the Kalos region back in December, and then, the Unova region this week.

Next week, the destination is none other than the Sinnoh region. It’s going to start on January 12 at 10:00 AM (local time) until January 17 at 8:00 PM (local time).

Update on December 2020 Event

Pokémon GO developer Niantic announced that there was an issue with the Snover Spotlight Hour, which was supposed to be until December 29. Because of this, the game is going to hold a regional makeup event. It will be on January 11 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM (local time). Snover is still going to be in the spotlight and Trainers in affected areas get these bonuses:

  • Double Catch XP.
  • Double Lucky Egg Duration.
  • Double Evolution XP.

New Global Event

The new Global Event is happening on February 20, 2021. Compared to previous global events, this one offers Trainers a non-ticketed and ticketed experience. Of course, the ticketed experience has more to offer but it'll cost you $11.99.
