"Pokémon GO" players have a reason to gaze upwards this October. The Dancing in the Moonlight event will be held from Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10:00 a.m. local time to Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The celebration will occur in certain areas, such as Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Clefairy in the Wild
The star of the event is, of course, Clefairy, which can be seen in mass numbers during special spotlight time. According to the "Pokémon GO" official website, trainers may see Clefairy in the wild for five minutes at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time daily. And for those lucky trainers out there, there is a possibility of seeing a Shiny Clefairy during these windows.
Event Bonuses and Daily Adventure Incense
To make the experience even better, Clefairy will be more apt to appear at Daily Adventure Incense during the event. This gives players another chance to catch more of the showcased Pokémon, and potentially even that coveted Shiny encounter.
Timed Research Opportunities
Besides wild spawns, players can also participate in free Timed Research opportunities exclusive to the event time frame. Rewards are:
- 4,050 XP
- 4,050 Stardust
Encounters with themed Pokémon like Umbreon adorned with a moon scarf, Teddiursa, Lunatone, and Bunnelby (all of which have Shiny potential).
It's worth mentioning that Timed Research expires after the event. Tasks should be accomplished and rewards collected before Oct. 8 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
