Pocketpair Inc. has had to remove certain features from "Palword" due to the lawsuit filed by Nitnendo over similarities the game has with the "Pokémon" franchise. However, a dedicated fan has now created a mod that brings back a specific feature for users to enjoy.
'Palworld' Mod Brings Back Removed Content
GameRant reported that they have spotted a new mod for "Palworld" that was created by a fan named "Primarinabee," and this specific tweak brings back the gliding feature to enjoy in the game.
While the original developers of the game, Pocketpair, have already removed certain experiences to de-escalate the Nintendo lawsuit, fans have taken it upon themselves to restore these features.
Gliding has allowed players to travel the open air using their Pals. The mod is now available to access via Nexus Mods under the name "Glider Restoration."
In the previous experience, users may rely on their Pals to do the flying for them and take them anywhere across the map where they wish to go. However, that recently changed on "Palworld" as the developers have opted to cave in to Nintendo and avoid the takedown of their game.
Now, the regular, unmodded version of "Palworld" still features gliding, but users would have to resort to a glider to make this happen.
Nintendo Lawsuit vs. Palworld: Should You Install the Mod?
In this mod, users who are fond of gliding may now see their Pals again to do the flying or gliding for them, but it requires them to have a glider in their inventory, which will still be the main requirement for the experience.
The mod would paste over their Pals in place of the glider device, and make it seem like the similar experience that they had before.
The developer who shared the Glider Restoration mod said that the current and future updates of "Palworld" will have no problem in tweaking the experience for users who wish to soar the skies with their Pals. The modder guarantees that it would work in future versions of the game as well.
It was revealed that players who do not have the mod installed would only see players in their gliders when flying overhead, and not the Pals which the mod intends to replace. That being said, players who summon Pals for their gliding experience may see them spawn off-center in the game,
Should that happen, worry not as Primarinabee encourages players to report this bug so the issue could be fixed.
