'Overwatch' Year Of The Rooster: Leaked Trailer Shows New Skins, Emotes And When The Event Ends

Overwatch’s Year Of the Rooster event starts in just a few hours, but another leak gives us a bit more information as to what to expect. A Spanish trailer for the Chinese New Year event appeared online Tuesday morning, full of HD shots of never-before-seen skins.

Here’s the new information we learn from this trailer:

• The Year Of The Rooster event will run Jan. 24 to Feb. 13.

• Bastion, Tracer, along with Symmetra, Mercy and Mei, will all be getting slight color swaps as skins. (Bastion, in a bright red hue with golden accents, is my favorite.)

• D.Va’s new skin looks absolutely amazing, and the event will give her an emote which makes the mech bow.

• Lijiang Tower will be decked out for the Chinese New Year celebration, with lanterns, fireworks and firecrackers.

• New emotes include Junkrat lighting a firework in his own face, Sombra holding sparklers and Tracer playing with an unlit firework.

• Tracer wearing a traditional Lion Dance costume.

• There will also be a ton of player portraits, which all have the same distinct red outline. Here's an imgur folder with all the cosmetics.

• Capture The Flag will be played on Lijiang Tower and will have players capturing a flag and running it back to their own base.
