Will Terry Crews voice Overwatch's next hero? Blizzard

Terry Crews, everyone’s favorite screaming, hulking, bald-headed actor, might actually be gearing up to voice Overwatch’s next hero, Doomfist. What started as a fan petition to get the actor to play this heavily teased hero grew into a phenomenon filled with crazy videos, outlandish fan theories and cries that Terry Crews would voice this new hero.

Terry Crews just posted on his Facebook page, “Who wants to hear me do the voice of Doomfist for real??” and linking to an article about his trip to Blizzard last month. Fans flocked to the comments, sharing their support for Crews and the Overwatch team. Blizzard has been known to follow fan requests before, adding simple things like Doritos to the gravestone of D.Va’s Halloween victory pose. When a fan theory or idea gets accepted and implemented by the developer, it’s a great feeling for the community.

Overwatch is a game that relies heavily on the sounds of its heroes. If you hear “it’s high noon” in a southern drawl, you know it’s time to find some heavy cover and hide. When “I’ve got you in my sights” comes blasting through your speakers, you know there’s nowhere to hide. Fans love the voices of Blizzard’s hero shooter almost as much as the characters themselves, which is why fans are so excited with the idea of Crews being the voice of OW’s next hero, Doomfist.

It should be noted that this isn’t concrete evidence that Crews is actually going to play Doomfist. It seems like Crews is trying to spark up some fan passion to convince Blizzard this is a great idea. Crews is a huge gamer, who has a few videos online of him building computers and playing games.

Personally, I would love to hear the dad from Everybody Hates Chris scream at me to move the payload.
