Santa Torbjorn better be coming down my chimney... Blizzard

UPDATE: Santa Mei and the new Brawl have been leaked.

UPDATE 2: The patch is officially live.

Get your sleigh bells ready, Overwatch’s festive holiday event is just around the corner. It’s been five days since the original Twitter announcement and the event is almost here. We still have no confirmed details from Blizzard about the event, but we can guess what’s going to come next.

Overwatch’s Winter Event will be coming Dec. 13 and should hit servers around 12 to 5 p.m. EST.

There will be new skins, emotes, victory poses and icons, but the number of each is still unclear. It could be anywhere from six all the way to 12, taking past events into consideration. Torbjorn will most likely get a Santa Claus skin; one of the first images ever released for Overwatch released almost two years ago, featured the angry Swede in full jolly wardrobe.

We also know that King’s Row is going to get a Winter facelift, according to the original tweet. League Of Legends just added snow for the first time in years to Summoner’s Rift, so it feels fitting that Overwatch is joining in on the festivities. It’s Winterveil in Hearthstone and World Of Warcraft as well. Blizzard really loves when it’s cold inside, most likely because people play a lot of games over winter break.

Anything can happen at this point, we could get a crazy horde mode featuring omnic elves that need to be put out of their misery, or skins like Too-Much Egg Nog Reinhardt to ring in the new year.
