After the release of top-tier GPUs , Nvidia revealed the budget-friendly RTX 3060Ti. The existence of the RTX 3060Ti was already suggested by various leaks and rumors. And now, the graphics card is official. This GPU should please users who are looking for a bang-for-the-buck performance.

Although a part of the fanbase is quite excited about the new GPU, the majority is not. The reason why fans feel annoyed with Nvidia is due to the ongoing scalping issue. It's caused by bots buying all graphics cards before real people could even place the orders. So, fans are quite skeptical about their getting hands on RTX 3060Ti soon.

According to Nvidia, the RTX 3060Ti performs faster than the previous generation's RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super. Also, the GPU is about 40% faster than the previous generation's RTX 2060 Super.

The specifications of the RTX 3060Ti are as follows:

  • CUDA Cores: 4864
  • Boost Clock: 1.67
  • Base Clock: 1.41
  • VRAM: 8GB GDDR6
  • Bandwidth: 256-bit
  • Ray-Tracing Cores: 2nd Generation
  • Tensor-Cores: 3rd Generation
  • Architecture: Ampere
  • Maximum TDP: 93 degrees Celsius
  • Required GPU power: 200W
  • Required System Power: 600W

From the looks of it, the RTX 3060Ti appears strikingly similar to the RTX 3070. The budget-friendly GPU sports a similar dual-fan setup as seen on the 3070. Like other GPUs in the series, the RTX 3060Ti supports ray-tracing and DLSS. Reviews on the GPU have started appearing online. It seems that the RTX 3060Ti indeed beats the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super in most cases.

But unlike the previous generation's RTX 2060, the RTX 3060Ti is not just a 1080p card. The GPU is also said to be capable of 1440p gaming.

The Nvidia RTX 3060Ti is releasing today and the Founders Edition is priced at $399. Users should expect third-party variants of the same GPU are priced higher.
