Nobody - The Turnaround is coming to PC through Steam this fall. It was back in February when this survival simulator had its demo debuted during the Steam Next Fest. Since then, the game has had more than one million downloads.

The game is set in an all too familiar modern society with players taking on the role of a blue-collar “nobody.” They go through difficult choices in alleyways and low-rent hostels while trying to make ends meet. Using any resources available, players need to develop job skills for self-improvement and make challenging decisions that impact the various characters in the game. Players must also maximize the most out of every opportunity to make a name for themselves and turn their status from nobody into somebody.

In a statement, Thermite Games owner and founder Sean Li revealed that this is one of the most fascinating games that they’ve worked on. He added that they wanted to introduce players to indie games, which can deliver intriguing and beautiful experiences.

Features of the game include:

  • A Realistic Life Simulator
    • The game hopes to accurately represent the working and living situation of the working class.
    • Examples of what players can experience are:
      • Suffer minor injuries from an accident due to manual labor
      • Have a breakdown while seeing other people’s paychecks
      • Get sick due to sleeping on the streets
      • Life can be affected by different unexpected random events and players need to do what they can to survive.
  • Work Hard and Strive for Success
    • Players begin from the initial basic jobs to skilled labor that requires specific training.
    • Work hard, create a career path, and eventually secure that dream job.
  • Real Life and Everyday Entertainment
    • Besides hard work, players need to arrange their pastimes responsibly to improve their mood and adjust conditions.
  • Special Sandbox Mode
    • If the Story Mode appears too difficult, players can try the Sandbox Mode.
