NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139, the remaster of the original NieR game released in 2010, is only a couple of months away. The game will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 23. As the game is this close to release, the developer has revealed the official system requirements for PC, and thankfully, they are quite reasonable.
Windows 10 64-bit is a necessity so don’t even think about playing the game on any other OS. For 720p at 60 FPS, you will need either an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or an Intel Core i5-6400 paired with AMD Radeon R9 270X or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. The game needs 8 GB of RAM and 25 GB of free storage space.
For 1080p at 60 FPS, you will need AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or Intel Core i5-6400 paired with AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660. RAM requirement is increased to 16 GB but storage space remains the same, indicating that there will not be an HD texture DLC for the game.
As decent as these requirements may be, we still have doubts about the performance. It’s no secret that the performance of NieR: Automata was downright abysmal on PC. On top of that, the developer didn't bother to fix it and it was the community that released mods to improve the game. Let’s hope that’s not the case this time around.
