Mojang recently announced their new event, Minecraft Live, which will take place on October 3. You can watch the entire stream on the Minecraft website. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Mojang decided to play it safe and host an online event rather than the usual Minecraft Festival.

Sofia Dankis, the author of the announcement, explained that Minecraft Live is the new version of the annual convention. The convention has also gone by the names MINECON Live or MINECON Earth in the past. Dankis also mentioned that tuning in to Minecraft Live on October 3 is the best way to learn about what Mojang Studios have been working on all year.

If you don’t want to miss out on the Minecraft Live event, you just have to join over here, on any of your devices. Don’t forget to tune into the stream, which starts at 12:00 PM ET on October 3.

The Minecraft Live announcement trailer showed off new, bigger mobs while also hinting at something related to the nether realm. The biggest tease for the community was the cave update segment. We will get to know more about it during the Minecraft Live event.

Minecraft is available to purchase on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.

So, what are your thoughts on Mojang’s new online event? Do you think it will be a good alternative to their usual Minecraft festivals? Personally, I think it is a good idea, as this will help people stay safer due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
