Last week, Gram Games released their latest mobile offering, Merge Town, and since that time, it’s become somewhat of an App Store obsession, managing to stay in the top 10 games since it released.

Merge Town is kind of a mash-up between idle clicker and town builder as players are given a small area of land that can hold up to six homes. A new box with a home is dropped onto one of your six squares every few seconds. Once you have at least two of the same kind of home on your land, you can slide them together. This merges them into an upgraded home.

The game has a ton of different buildings you can upgrade your starter homes to, as well as nearly 40 different towns to which you can expand. In the first town alone there are 38 unlockable homes, so safe to say, you’ll be playing this one a while if you want to “finish” it. As you increase your level, you unlock more plots of land for placing even more homes.

The concept is fairly simple and for those familiar with idle clickers, it won’t be too difficult to pick up. However, if you are having trouble making progress in the game or you just want to see what all the buildings are that you can unlock, we’ve begun collecting a list of all the buildings in Merge Town, along with the number of coins you earn each second one of those homes in on your land. Our list isn’t complete yet because we’re still unlocking the houses ourselves, but as we unlock more, we’ll keep adding them to the list. We’ve also included a few tips and tricks we picked up for upgrading houses more quickly and unlocking more buildings. Be sure to check those out as well, below.

Merge Town Tips, Tricks & Cheats For Unlocking Buildings Faster

Tip #1 - Do Some Tapping

Merge Town is the type of game where you can be as idle or as active as you want to be really, but it pays off to be active. In Merge Town a box drops with a new building every few seconds, but if you do some tapping on the box drop countdown icon, you can speed those drops up quite a bit. While you are actively playing the game, it's a good idea to do some tapping. It will allow you to merge and upgrade a whole lot quicker

Tip #2 - When Away, Make Sure Every Plot Of Land Is Covered

The great thing about idle clickers is most times when you are away there is some earning happening in the background. For that reason, when you know you are going to be away from the game for a while, make sure to do some tapping first and make sure there is a home - no matter how small - planted on every plot of land before you leave. Each building you have collects coins every second that can be used to buy more buildings so you want as many money makers as you can get working for you during your away time.

Tip #3 - Work On Your Level Up

When you are playing the game, you want to merge as many houses into larger houses as you can, not only so you can unlock new ones, but also to increase your player level. Each time you merge a set of houses, depending on the level house it is, you will earn stars. These stars count towards your experience level. With each new experience level you gain, you get to unlock a new plot of land to drop a house on, which in time increases your earnings. Idle clickers are all about exponential earning growth so keep working towards those higher experience levels.

Tip #4 - Consider Buying An Upgrade

If you are wanting to play this game long term, I would advise buying one of the several $1.99 upgrades available. The upgrades offer perks like faster box drop time or upgraded houses in box drops, but the biggest perk is the removal of ads. If you spend enough time in the game, the ads are going to really start to annoy you as one pops up pretty much any time you switch towns, visit the house market or hang out too long. There is also a banner ad at the top of the page that sometimes blocks stats and info I like looking at. Considering it’s a game with a long life, it’s worth purchasing an upgrade to get rid of the ads.
