Marvel's Avengers has already confirmed Kate Bishop and Clint Barton as post-launch DLC characters, and now it has also teased the inclusion of Black Panther. Marvel's Avengers' third War Table stream began with a moment of silence that was held in honor of Chadwick Boseman. After this, the character's icon appeared on the screen.

Crystal Dynamics also shared a message alongside Black Panther's logo stating that Black Panther was supposed to be presented during the third War Table live stream. However, all news and footage pertaining to the character were removed to pay respect to Boseman.

Chadwick Boseman portrayed Black Panther in the Marvel's Cinematic Universe. The actor was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016 and he recently passed away after battling the cancer for four long years. Boseman also starred in many critically acclaimed films, including the Marvel films Avengers Infinity War, Avengers Endgame and Black Panther. He continued to make these movie while still undergoing chemotherapy and numerous surgeries.

According to Cystal Dynamics, it was Black Panther who the studio was interested in presenting today, but instead opted to show off Kate Bishop. Kate Bishop's reveal suggests that she will be the first post-launch hero, and not Clint Barton. Kate Bishop is a female Hawkeye, who trained under Clint Barton before going on to become her own hero.

Crystal Dynamics hasn't revealed when the Black Panther DLC will be announced. However, as the presentation was concluding, the developer stated that there would be another War Table livesteam shortly after the game's launch. It seems that the developer may reveal Black Panther at that time.

Meanwhile, fans have been paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman by watching Black Panther and other films that the talented actor has starred in.

Marvel's Avengers is releasing on September 4 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The game will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X later.
