It’s time to prepare and return to Middle-earth with Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria coming this spring 2023. It’s set in the Fourth Age and follows the story of the Dwarves on the journey to reclaim and restore their homeland of Moria. Unlike other games based on the iconic fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien, this one is a survival-crafting video game. By the way, it’s going to be exclusive to PC through the Epic Games Store.
For those not familiar with the lore, the Fourth Age of Middle-earth started when the One Ring was defeated and Sauron was destroyed. In the game, players control a company of Dwarves summoned to the Misty Mountains by Lord Gimli Lockbearer and tasked with reclaiming the lost spoils of Moria known as Khazad-dûm or Dwarrowdelf.
The quest requires fortitude as players go deep into the Mines of Moria to recover its treasures. Players join forces to survive, craft, build, and explore the mines.
