Left 4 Dead 2, Valve‘s co-op zombie shooter game, is going to receive a brand new update almost 11 years after it was originally released. The new update “The Last Stand” is the result of the hard work from hardcore Left 4 Dead community members coming together to bring new content to Left 4 Dead 2. You can find the reveal trailer below:

“It has been many years since the infection first hit. Radio silence, no sign of life, nothing but lingering hopes... CEDA is not going to save us. But there is hope! A few brave souls have continued the fight against all odds, and soon we can all benefit from their resilience,” a blog post by the Left 4 Dead team stated. "‘The Last Stand’ is an update for Left 4 Dead 2, created by the community, for the community.”

Valve and the Left 4 Dead team haven’t confirmed any details about the update yet, but from the looks of the trailer, the focus seems to be on a remastered map from the original Left 4 Dead. All we can do is wait for more information from the Left 4 Dead team, which will be announced soon. Left 4 Dead 2 is still a pretty popular game for its age, as it hosted nearly 16,000 concurrent players in the past week.

Left 4 Dead 2 is available to purchase on PC and Xbox 360.

So, what are your thoughts on the new content Valve is going to release for the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2 update? Do you think The Last Stand will bring more players into the community and maybe even bring Left 4 Dead 2 back to life? Personally, I think it’s going to be really fun to play, and hopefully we will keep receiving more content from the community. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
