A new champion with the ability to manipulate time has joined League of Legends: Wild Rift. Ekko and his time-altering gizmos debut in Patch 3.2. This update also adds new features, most notably the ability to remake a match when someone goes AFK.

New Champion

Ekko is now part of the Wild Rift roster. He is a champion who uses nifty gadgets to manipulate time. Let’s talk about his abilities.

His passive is Z-Drive Resonance. Every third attack or damaging ability on the same target deals bonus magic damage. Moreover, he’s granted a burst of speed if the target is an enemy champion. This is actually good, especially in the early game where you can slowly chip away at the enemy champion’s HP and have them leave their position to heal.

Timewinder is the first of his attack abilities. Ekko throws a temporal grenade and whenever it hits an enemy champion, it expands into a time-distortion field, slowing and damaging anyone caught inside. After a short delay, the grenade rewinds back to Ekko, doing damage on its return.

Ekko’s second active ability is Parallel Convergence. When cast, Ekko creates an anomaly that slows enemies caught inside it. If he enters the anomaly, he not only stuns his enemies but gains a shield as well.

Phase Dive, his third ability, is good to use when trying to evade enemy fire. That’s because he rolls toward a specified direction when using Phase Dive while charging up his Z-Drive gizmo. After a short period, Ekko’s next attack teleports him directly to his target, dealing bonus damage.

Ekko’s ultimate is Chronobreak. When cast, he returns to the point where he was a few seconds ago, and heals a percentage of damage received during that duration. Enemies who are unfortunately near his arrival zone will take massive damage.

Remake Feature

Do you get frustrated whenever someone goes AFK at the start of the match? The developers know this, so they introduced the new remake feature in Patch 3.2.

You can vote to remake the match whenever a player is AFK at the start of a game. When others vote in favor of it, the game ends and neither team will receive a win or a loss. Any consumables used in the match will also be refunded.

The remake feature is currently available in normal PvP games. If things go well, the dev team might implement it in other game modes as well.

So, what can you say about Ekko? Do you think he is a must-pick in ranked?

League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 3.2 is available on Android and iOS.
