League of Legends Patch 12.12 is finally here. Some champions have been performing exceptionally well after the Durability update. So, they received some nerfs to balance them out.

Here, we will focus on the nerfs for Bel’Veth and Fiora.

Bel’Veth

The Empress of the Void, Bel’Veth, has been dominating lower ranks because she can quickly get her lavender stack. In this update, Bel’Veth’s changes were made on her base stats, Death in Lavender (Passive), Royal Maelstrom (E), and Endless Banquet (R).

Let's start with her base stats. Her basic attack range has increased, but her health regeneration and health regeneration growth have gone down.

  • Basic Attack Range: From 125 to 175.

  • Health Regeneration: From 8.5 to 6.

  • Health Regeneration Growth: From 0.85 to 0.6.

  • Health Regeneration at Level 18: From 22.95 to 16.2.

The Death in Lavender (Passive) bonus attack speed per lavender stack now grants:

  • From 0.25-1.25% (levels 1-18) to 0.28-1% (levels 1-13).

The developers added a new change to her passive called The Lavender CS, where she gains one lavender stack per large minion.

Royal Maelstrom's (E) damage and lifesteal have been reduced from ranks two to five, which should reduce her overall damage at the later stages of the game. This nerf should cut off some of her sustain during team fights. Players can no longer use Bel’Veth to tank up damage in all situations.

The nerfs for damage and lifesteal are as follows:

  • Damage: From 8/11/14/17/20 (+6% AD) to 8/10/12/14/16 (+6% AD).

  • Life Steal: From 20/22/24/26/28% to 20/21.5/23/24.5/26%.

Fiora

Fiora has been a very strong top laner for a while now, and the Durability update made her even stronger because of true damage from dealing damage to those with higher HP. In this update, her passive, Duelist's Dance, got nerf which also affected her ultimate’s damage. This nerf is huge as she won’t be able to chunk off the enemy’s health after hitting just one vital.

  • Bonus True Damage: From 3% (+5.5% per 100 bonus AD) to 3% (+4.5% per 100 bonus AD) of target's maximum health.

She still has good sustain and fighting potential, especially if fed and all. So, don’t underestimate her just because she got nerfed. But the increased HP across all champions is not a big factor anymore.

Similarly, Lucian, Singed, Zeri, and a few other champions received nerfs to balance them in the current meta, and you can read more about them here.
