League of Legends Patch 12.10b: Champion Buffs

League of Legends Patch 12.10 made all champions more durable. This obviously is a big nerf for champions that are supposed to snowball early on.

The developers rolled out a mid-patch update to address squishiness, healing, and shields. But players can expect more changes in Patch 12.11, which should balance champions and items even further.

Here, we'll focus on Champion buffs for Diana, Draven, and Renekton.

Diana

Diana has taken a hit on Patch 12.10 because of the shield nerf. To stabilize her kit, the developers buffed her Pale Cascade's (W) base shield to 40/55/70/85/100 from 25/40/55/70/85 across each level. Her Lunar Rush (E) magic damage has also been buffed from 40/60/80/100/120 (+40% AP) to 50/70/90/110/130 (+45% AP), which should help her dish out more damage.

Draven

Draven got hit hard on Patch 12.10 because he is a snowball champion that relies heavily on early kills. The durability update can be counterproductive for Draven, further denying his ability to make those kills. To balance these two factors, developers increased the bonus gold upon getting a kill to 40 (+2.5 per Adoration stack) from 25 (+2 per Adoration stack). Additionally, his Spinning Axe (Q) bonus damage is now at 45/50/55/60/65 (+75/85/95/105/115% bonus AD). Hopefully, these are enough to empower his kill potential in the early game.

Renekton

Renekton is one of the punching bags in the top lane because of how poorly he performs in the mid-late game. The durability update makes it worse for Renekton because his healing is decreased and the damage received by enemy champions is lowered.

To balance things out a bit, developers cut his Cull the Meek (Q) cooldown to seven from eight seconds and increased his base healing against champions from 10/14/18/22/26 to 12/18/24/30/36. Renekton’s Empowered Q also got a small buff, now at 36/54/72/90/108. While these changes should help Renekton slightly during the laning phase, it won’t make him any better in mid-late game, at least not in this patch.

Similarly, Kled, Vladimir, and Yuumi have received some buffs that should help them fight better, and you can read more about them here.
