Toby Jones and Rafe Spall have been cast in Jurassic World 2 in unknown roles, says Variety.

Rafe Spall previously appeared in Prometheus , Shaun of the Dead, The BFG and Life of Pi. You’ve seen Toby Jones in approximately everything, including two of the Captain America movies (he’s Dr. Zola), The Hunger Games, The Mist, W., Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Berberian Sound Studio. Oh, and he’s the voice of Dobby.

While we don’t know who Spall will be playing in Jurassic World 2, I think it’s fairly reasonable to assume Toby Jones will be playing some sort of scientist. Because, well, look at him:

You think that dude’s just another Jurassic Park guest? No way.

Based on what we know about the Jurassic World 2 plot — mostly thematic stuff — there are a couple obvious areas where Toby Jones would fit into the newest Jurassic Park sequel. Here’s what Jurassic World director and Jurassic World 2 co-writer Colin Trevorrow had to say about the plot of his sequel:

“This isn’t always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment. And when you look back at nuclear power and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponize it and later on we found it could be used for energy. And this isn’t something necessarily that was in the book but it is a seed I wanted to plant in this movie, is that it might be able to grow in more of these movies if they decide to make more of them, is: What if this went open source?”

Toby Jones: open-source dinosaur crusader. That sounds just about right.

Jurassic World 2, directed by J.A. Bayona this time, will be out in theaters June 22, 2018.
