Insurgency: Sandstorm Operation Livewire Brings Supply Crates and Grenade Behavior Changes

Update 1.13 for Insurgency: Sandstorm, aka Operation Livewire, is now available on all platforms. Aside from new content, this massive patch also brought some noteworthy changes to supply crates in Push and grenade behavior.

Push is a game mode in Insurgency: Sandstorm where the attacking team has to capture four objectives in sequential order to win. Each captured objective will give the team five additional waves and extra time to get to the next point.

That said, supply crates in Push received some changes in the Operation Livewire Update. First, the supply crate near the next spawn zone is made available the moment an objective is captured. Second, the one found in the attackers’ final spawn zone opens when the area becomes active. The supply crate will remain active until the round ends.

And third, to help the defending team keep the attackers at bay, an additional supply crate will spawn near the Weapon Cache when the final objective is active.

The community had been asking for some grenade changes and the good thing is that the developers have delivered in this patch. Now, grenades act more naturally when thrown, and most importantly, grenades now spin in mid-air!
