The second Injustice 2 Watchtower Twitch stream has come and gone and while there were no new characters revealed or gameplay, there were some updates regarding the closed beta of the upcoming fighting game sequel.
Wave 4 of the Injustice 2 online beta codes will be given out next week and a brand-new character will be added to the closed beta by the end of the week. That character is the Black Canary.
Black Canary’s inclusion in Injustice 2 came as a welcome surprise when she was revealed in early February. She will come packed with her patented canary cry to complement her martial arts prowess.
The Injustice 2 online beta began with four characters – Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Atrocitus – before Blue Beetle was added. Now players will have a chance to try out Black Canary before the game releases later this year.
If you’re dying to try out Black Canary against other Injustice 2 players, you’ll have to wait, but you can brush up on what makes Black Canary a complete badass In the meantime with the character breakdown from IGN below.
Injustice 2 will release May 16.
