Every lead role for ABC’s upcoming Marvel TV show, The Inhumans, has been announced and cast. The actors and actresses have impressive resumes, including Empire, Hell on Wheels, Game of Thrones and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The series just began filming in Hawaii.

Inhumans were first introduced to the MCU on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, currently in it’s fourth season on ABC. This new series, however, will focus on some of the most popular inhumans: The Royal Family.

Get to know the The Inhumans lead actors and characters below.

Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon

This Concussion actor is one of Black Bolt’s cousins, in his late twenties or early thirties. He’s the brawny and brash one of the family, with super strength and hooved legs that send shockwaves through the ground.

Isabelle Cornish as Crystal

Medusa’s younger sister, around 18 years old, will be played by Australia’s Puberty Blues actress Isabelle Cornish. Just like Avatar Aang and Korra, She can control all four elements -- air, earth, fire and water. She’s the youngest, but may prove to be the most powerful. Very independent yet devoted to family.

Mike Moh as Triton

This Empire actor is Karnak’s brother (and Black Bolt’s cousin). He has the physiology of a fish, superhuman speed, strength and agility underwater -- the ultimate athlete. He’s calm, cool and level-headed in any situation.

Anson Mount as Black Bolt

Hell on Wheels’ Anson Mount is the King of the Inhumans. His voice is his power, both figuratively and literally. He’s very quiet, private and restrained because even speaking a single word can activate his sonic powers and destroy pretty much anything.

Serinda Swan as Medusa

This Graceland actress is the queen of the Inhumans. She can communicate telepathically with Black Bolt, which is helpful since he doesn’t talk much. But that’s not her inhuman ability. It’s actually her long red locks, which she can control to do whatever she wants. She’s elegant and not scared of breaking the rules if she has to.

Iwan Rheon as Maximus

Rheon, who you probably recognize from his terrifying role in Game of Thrones , may end up being an antagonist in the series, even though he is a member of the Royal Family and Black Bolt’s younger brother. He wants the throne for himself and he was called ‘Maximus the Mad’ in the comics, where he is a supervillain. In the show, he’s described as “fiercely devoted” to his family, but he’s a master of deception, aided by his mind-control abilities, which are often hampered by his mental instability. His psychic powers give him quite a dangerous way with words on top of his already genius-level intellect.

Ken Leung as Karnak

Another one of Black Bolt’s cousins, played by Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Ken Leung, is Karnak, a martial arts master and genius. He was not exposed to the terrigen mist, but has the extrasensory ability to see flaws -- in humans and inanimate objects. He’s precise and highly trained, and has complete control over his body’s inherent functions.

Karnak is kind of like Batman, he has no inhuman abilities but his devotion to martial arts gives him extreme self control, rivaling the supernatural powers of his relatives.

Sonya Balmores as Auran

Best known for Soul Surfer , Balmores’ character is not a member of the Inhuman Royal Family. She’s the head of the Royal Guards of Attilan. Described as “fiercely loyal,” Medusa called her one of the best Investigators in the comics due to her enhanced hearing abilities. She can pretty much search a word and find the locations of where it has been spoken. Sounds like she’ll be a great asset to the King.

Ellen Woglom as ?

This Californication Season 3 actress will star in the series, but the name of her role hasn’t been revealed. The description of her character is smart and focused. Her job trumps everything and she needs to work on her social skills.

Lockjaw

The Inhumans’ big teleporting dog is also a part of the cast. It’s technically Crystal’s pet and it weighs 2000 pounds.

Both mutants and inhumans were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Their power sets are similar, but their origins are different. Inhumans are descendents of the ancient alien race, the Kree. Their powers are the result of experiments and the process of Terrigenesis, which unlocks each inhuman’s unique special power. Mutants have a similar origin. Millions of years ago, an alien race called The Celestials came to earth and completed genetic experiments that altered human’s genetic code. Passed down with each generation, a mutant possess the X-gene that will give them powers during puberty. While the mutant race spread themselves across the world to blend into society, inhumans created a secret society and secluded themselves for protection. We got a taste of what Inhuman life was like on SHIELD, but ABC’s new show will explore their origins more in depth.

The Inhumans is expected to arrive in IMAX theaters on Labor Day 2017, and premiere on ABC later in September.
