Sony has recently introduced a brand new addition to the free themes listed on PS4. Right now, players are given the opportunity to dress up their console’s home screen with a free Mortal Kombat 11 theme, which features Raiden, Terminator T-800, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero

What is even more interesting about the theme is the fact that it is a “Kommunity Art Theme,” which is designed by a well-known artist name Kode “Bosslogic” Abdo. For those who do not know him, he is notably known for illustrating fan art and becoming a Marvel collaborator.

Here is a quick look at the free Mortal Kombat 11 theme, courtesy of PlayStation’s official Twitter page:

In a blog post on the official PlayStation site, Bosslogic goes into detail on how he decided to go about the theme’s design elements, especially with choosing the right aspects for his Mortal Kombat 11 PS4 theme. According to him, both Sony and Warner Bros. personally reached out to him, hoping that he would be the digital artist to design a celebratory theme. The goal was to create it just in time for the Terminator’s DLC release.

Bosslogic said that his focus, in particular, was all about putting Arnold Schwarzenegger front and center. He specifically relied on “stylization and simplicity,” both of which are elements he deemed essential in completing his vision.

Interestingly, both Sony and Warner Bros. were more than pleased with the theme he created. And, as a result, he was brought aboard to design another. The second theme focuses more on some of the most iconic Mortal Kombat characters. While Scorpion can be seen as the central figure of the second theme from Bosslogic, several other characters of the popular fighting game are added to the mix, such as Noob Saibot, Raiden, and Sub-Zero. As you can see in the theme itself, only Raiden and Sub-Zero made the final cut alongside Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
