Hyper Scape is all set to launch Season 3 on March 11. Titled Shadow Rising, one of the biggest changes it offers is a revamp of the Neo Arcadia map. This new map not only gives a more diversified terrain but also new landmarks. Then, there’s the new Hack known as Firewall that creates a barrier that protects players from any incoming fire but can have their own outgoing fire to pass through.

In addition to the new Hack and revamped map, lots of new features are arriving with the new season. These are:

  • 2D hub flow
    • Here players can look at their full squad, along with the selected outfits.
  • Ability to use Locker and Shop while matchmaking.
  • Three always-on game modes:
    • Crown Rush Squad (60 players, ranked)
    • Crown Rush Solo (60 players, unranked)
    • Team Deathmatch (6v6, unranked)

It goes without saying that there’s also a 100-tier Battle Pass, available in both free and premium versions. Players who get the Premium Battle Pass can instantly get the Ace Shrine Fox outfit, weapon charm, and the legendary Dragonfly weapon skin. The Premium Battle Pass also offers these goodies among others:

  • 2 legendary outfits
  • 8 additional outfits
  • 33 weapon skins
  • 13 melee weapons
  • 8 deployment pods

The Premium Battle Pass is available for a price of 950 Bitcrowns. Players can earn Bitcrowns in-game or by buying them through Ubisoft or first-party stores. Players can also go on Twitch and earn progress by simply having their Crowncast extension enabled.

Before Season 3 arrives, you still have time to enjoy Season 2 and you can learn more about that here.

Hyper Scape is a free-to-play first-person shooter and battle royale game that was released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Like other games in its genre, the game has a maximum of 100 players dropped over a map that shrinks over time. It does have two differences. First, random parts of the map disappear, instead of a shrinking circle. And second, once the last sector is closed, a crown appears and any player that can hold it for 60 seconds immediately gets the win. Of course, the game also ends when one player or team remains.
