Since its initial launch, For Honor has created mixed feelings among gamers. Nonetheless, the game has continued to release new factions and warriors at a steady pace. The game is now entering Year 4, Season 2 with a new faction and a slew of new warriors. The new season is called Tyranny and Ubisoft is inviting players to try out the game for free for a limited time. The limited-time free to play weekend starts this Thursday on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can also pre-load the game ahead of time.

The free weekend for For Honor was announced on the game's official Twitter page. Starting on July 23, you will be able to jump into the arenas of For Honor and enjoy some brand-new content in the game, including the Year of Reckoning content and the reworked Centurion.

If you have been looking forward to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, For Honor can also give you a taste of what you can expect from a Viking-themed game created by Ubisoft.

Here's when the event will kick off on each available platform:

PS4

  • Start Time: July 23 at 3 a.m. ET
  • End Time: July 26 at 2:59 a.m. ET

Xbox One

  • Start Time: July 23 at 3 a.m. ET
  • End Time: July 26 at 2:59p.m. ET

PC - Epic Games Store & UPlay

  • Start Time: July 23 at 9 a.m. ET
  • End Time: July 27 at 4 p.m. ET

PC - Steam

  • Start Time: July 23 at 1 p.m. ET
  • End Time: July 27 at 4 p.m. ET

Additionally, For Honor will also be on sale during the free weekend period. So, if you end up liking the game, you can grab it for a decent discount. Moreover, any progress you make during the free weekend period will carry over to the full game.

For Honor is a great melee experience and if you do have mixed feelings about the game, why don't you give it shot during the weekend? It won't cost you a thing.
