Hearthstone is launching a new esports tournament which is also the first Battlegrounds event of 2022. The Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders is happening from April 2 to April 3. It has 16 of the world's best Battlegrounds players fight for the chance to bring home $50,000.

To join this event, eligible players need to reach the top of their respective regional ladders by the end of February. Sixteen of the top Ladder competitors from the regions of the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific earn invites to compete in a 48-player qualifying tournament. This is going to be held off-broadcast on March 14. Once the Qualifier ends, the top 12 get to join the broadcast tournament. Joining them are four of the top Battlegrounds players from China.

The tournament is set to be streamed on Hearthstone's official YouTube and Twitch channels. However, all players joining the Qualifier and the main event are invited to co-stream on their channels.

More information about this tournament will be released throughout February and March. A second Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends has already been confirmed and is tentatively scheduled for May.
